FAQ

FAQ

1. How long will it take to drive to Amani Beach Hotel?

It takes on average one and a half hours to reach Amani Beach Hotel from the ferry in Dar es Salaam. It can be quicker or slightly longer depending on the amount of traffic at the ferry so it is best to leave a little extra time and to pack plenty of water in the car.

2. Is the swimming pool child-friendly?

Yes. There is a shallow end to the pool and no rapids or wave machines. Sun loungers are positioned all around the pool as well as on the beach so that parents can easily supervise their children.

3. How many beds can we fit per room?

Each beach bungalow comes with one super king size bed. In addition, up to two additional beds can be put into every room at a supplement (see our Rates & Reservations section). We also have one family unit comprising two connected beach bungalows with a shared veranda should you wish to have two separate rooms.

4. How much should I budget to spend for food & drink per day per person?

We get asked this a lot and it really does vary from guest to guest, However, as a guide, a two course lunch will be $20 and a three course evening meal $30 plus drinks with wine starting at $18 per bottle.

5. Can I come and visit for the day?

Yes, we welcome day visitors but only by prior arrangement. As a small boutique hotel, we pride ourselves on the peaceful and intimate service offered to our resident guests and therefore restrict the number of day visitors for the enjoyment of all. 8. When are the turtles hatching?

Turtle hatching season is from April to June and from November to January. During this time, hatchings are frequent but we never know exactly when until one or maybe two days before. The best way to find out is to subscribe to our blog where we will post turtle hatching updates or to call us a day or so before your visit. You can read more about the turtle hatching on our website or through our local partners Sea Sense at www.seassense.org.
