Ten years ago we were looking for a spot to create something more than a hotel, we wanted to create a place for truly unique experiences. One evening, we were stood watching the sunset from the cliff top, which surrounds Amani Beach. It was then, looking down at the unspoiled white sand and palm trees, that we saw for the first time the turtles who have chosen to make Amani beach their home and we knew we’d found our space.
Large numbers of Hawksbills and Green turtles have chosen to make Amani Beach their hatching ground. Nature lovers from all over the world come to witness the incredible sight of baby turtles making their way to the sea for the first time, surrounded by the peace and charm of Amani Beach. We take our responsibility to protect and preserve our natural heritage very seriously. We work in partnership with the wonderful Sea Sense Organisation to ensure that the turtles are allowed to hatch safely and make their way to the sea.
